Year-End Checklist for Church Treasurers
A simple list for November to January. Print it, put it on the fridge or in the treasurer's binder, and check it off as you go.
What's on it:
- November: the budget vote, the pastor's housing allowance, W-9s, and a reminder about December 31 gifts.
- December: closing out the year, the last payroll, and gifts of stock or property.
- January: giving statements, W-2s, 1099-NECs, and the year-end council report, with the 2027 due dates.
- All year: the four habits that protect your church and your treasurer.
