Church Treasurer Service · Remote · One flat monthly fee

Your church needs a treasurer. It doesn't have to be a hire.

I keep the books for churches, start to finish, for one flat monthly fee. Giving, bills, payroll, every fund, and a clear report for your council every month. It costs less than a part-time hire, and it never quits, gets sick, or goes on vacation.

No sales pitch. I mostly want to hear how your church handles its books.

Is this your church right now?

  • Your treasurer is stepping down, and nobody wants the job.
  • You posted a bookkeeper or finance job, and the right person isn't applying.
  • One volunteer carries all of it on nights and weekends.
  • The council gets the bank balance, but nobody can say how much of it is the building fund.

If one of these sounds like your church, that's exactly who I help.

Three sizes, one flat fee

Every church is different. These are honest starting points. We set the real number together after one short call, and it stays flat. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices.

Small church

Starts at about $1,250 a month

Usually fits: A budget up to about $700,000. A few bank accounts, a handful of funds, a small staff.

Included: Everything in the table above.

Growing church

Starts at about $2,000 a month

Usually fits: A budget of about $700,000 to $1.2 million. More funds, more staff, more giving channels.

Included: Everything in the table above, plus budget-season help and more meetings.

Larger church

Starts at about $3,500 a month and up

Usually fits: A bigger budget, a school or daycare, many staff, or several committees to report to.

Included: Everything, plus reports by ministry or program, and the school or daycare books.

All sizes

Phone calls, emails, and year-end work are included. The fee is reviewed once a year, so a change is never a surprise. Month to month, with 30 days notice either way.

Not included: your payroll company's fees, the QuickBooks Online subscription, and any outside audit.

Compare it to a hire

A part-time church bookkeeper at 20 hours a week costs about $25,000 to $35,000 a year with payroll taxes, plus training, plus starting over every time they leave.

Remote, and it works

You don't need me in your office. Here is how a normal month works, from anywhere in the country:

  1. Bills come to one email address

Snap a photo or scan, send it in, done.

  2. Your bank and giving platform feed right into QuickBooks Online

    Nothing gets typed twice.

  3. Your counting team keeps counting and depositing

We record it and match it to the bank.

  4. A report lands every month, on time

Balance sheet, income and expenses, bills paid, fund balances.

  5. A video call with your treasurer or finance chair

Whenever you want one. Once a month works well.

If you're in central Pennsylvania, I'm glad to stop by in person too.

You stay in charge

  • We never touch the cash.Your counters count and deposit.
  • Your church owns everything. The QuickBooks file, the bank accounts, and the records stay in your name. You can turn our access off any time.
  • Everything is written down. You get written steps for your books, so the work never depends on one person's memory, including mine.
  • Your council sees it all, every month.

Common questions

Do you work with my denomination?

Yes. I work with United Methodist and Brethren in Christ churches today, and the work is the same for most Protestant churches.

We use different software.

Churches move to QuickBooks Online with us, and we do the move. If you're on something else, ask me on the call.

What about our pastor's housing allowance and payroll?

Your payroll company runs the checks and filings. We send them the hours and changes, record every payroll, and keep the housing allowance and minister rules straight.

What if we want to leave?

Give 30 days notice. Your books are yours, and we hand everything over.

How fast can you start?

Most churches start at the beginning of a month. January is a natural time to switch.

Start with a free 20-minute church books checkup

We'll talk about how your church handles its books today, what's working, and what's not. You'll leave with at least one thing you can fix, whether you hire us or not.
